We know that the biological survival of humans and nature is only possible thanks to water. On the other hand, love as a spiritual nutrient is as essential and indispensable as water for our body or physical existence. Rumi, the great mystic of the Middle Ages, said: ‘Love is the water of life ’. Water is the source of life, love comes from life; love, which makes life possible. Therefore: ‘Water is life is love is water is …’
The design of the fountain is based on this association and at the same time symbolizes the water as a dynamic and irreplaceable element: the water comes to life in human hands, refreshes, and delights the heart. Love unfolds in it and flows on it as the water of life.
The water is fed into the fountain via two large, curved bronze inlets. The water jet from both inlets complements to form a heart-shaped composition. The fountain basin made of polished artificial stone represents two hands held together like bowls, which catch the water. A heart shape is embedded in the pool floor, which lies below the water level.
